Dear friends,
Lady is a sweet dog who needs surgery for a tibial fracture. Her leg has been stabilized with a splint and wrap to keep her comfortable, and a surgeon will repair the fracture soon. Delays can make fractures like this harder to repair and increase the likelihood that amputation may eventually be necessary. This can be a reality for many families, but fortunately for Lady we’re able to step in and help.
The current estimate for surgery is $4,582. Lady’s family is contributing toward her care, and we are hoping to help bridge the remaining cost through our Community Love program.
This is the kind of case Community Love exists for. Veterinary care is increasingly out of reach for many families, even when the condition is treatable and the outcome is strong. When pets experience injuries like this, the difference between recovery and long term complications often comes down to timing and access. Supporting cases like Lady’s keeps animals comfortable, prevents worsening medical issues, and helps families avoid impossible choices.
It also helps the field in a broader way. Community based support allows urgent care to happen sooner, reduces preventable suffering, and strengthens the network of rescues, clinics, and advocates who are trying to keep up with rising costs. When we fund cases like this, we are not only helping one dog. We are reinforcing a model where care is shared, outcomes are better, and the standard for what support looks like expands.
If you are able to support Lady, your donation will go directly toward her surgery and follow up care. If we raise more than Lady needs, remaining funds will be used for the next Community Love case so we can continue responding quickly when families reach out with urgent veterinary needs.
Thank you for being part of a community that makes this work possible.
And always remember, simply being a part of our community and reading this email makes a big difference.
We’re grateful for you,
Stacy and the lil BUB Family
