Meet Miso,
Miso is a tiny kitten pulled from animal control in Freeport, Illinois with a severe rear end injury. Her back legs have atrophied into painful positions and get in the way of how she moves. Our veterinarians have recommended amputation of both rear legs this week to relieve discomfort and give her the freedom she is already trying so hard to claim.
The good news is that Miso is fast. Even now, she zips around, and with her two front legs she can have a great quality of life. This surgery is about comfort, dignity, and mobility.
Your support helps cover two rear leg amputations including anesthesia and pain management; hospitalization and postoperative care; imaging and follow up visits; supplies that keep Miso clean, comfortable, and safe while she heals; and mobility support as she adapts if needed.
At Lil BUB’s Big FUND, we believe caring for the hardest cases makes care more accessible for every pet and family. The more we normalize high quality care for animals with differences, the more this care becomes expected and available.

Bloomington Animal Shelter
Thank you for supporting our fundraiser for the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter.
Bloomington Animal Care and Control, a division of the Department of Public Works, operates the shelter and provides compassionate animal control services for the community. Open admission municipal shelters take in every animal that comes through the door, no matter the condition or timing, and they do it with limited space and resources. Even as intake grows, Bloomington maintains a live release rate of 94 to 96 percent. Your support helps them keep offering shelter, safety, and second chances.
